Kohr Bros. frozen custard is fabulous ! This is a must visit when your in Rehoboth. Beats any soft serve icream place.

What's the hype about this stuff? I felt the custard didn't really have that much flavor to it. I've definitely had better elsewhere.

Used to be our favorite. Prices have gone up, flavor diminished :(

Great custard. Multiple locations means it is convenient for a quick bite while on the beach, an after dinner snack or a stroll along the boardwalk. The staff in Rehoboth over the summer months is foreign and this caused a few miscommunications during my frequent visits, but they made up for the lack of customer service with generous tastes! I mean it, if you don't have enough room for a full cup/cone, just ask for a taste!

Great!! The pumpkin and the cinamon were both great!! Do give it a try.

It's not a beach vacation without a orange sherbet and vanilla twist cone! It always hits the spot. I would pick this over any other ice cream store at the shore the only problem is that you will always want more, it's that good!

I think that the majority of the positive reviews for this place come from a place of nostalgia, rather than an objective review of the product. The service was lackluster; I understand the young ladies working the counter have to serve hundreds of cones and cups of custard a day, but please try to bring at least a modicum of positive energy to your service. You're serving custard on a boardwalk, for Pete's sake. The custard was nothing to write home about either: overly sweet and runny, without the depth of flavor you would find in a truly rich custard. The orange flavor tasted fake. It reminded me of those Flintstones push pops my dad used to buy us at gas stations. For what it's worth, my friends seemed happy with it.

Love the custard. This is a must stop when visiting the beach. You can get a standard flavor or a preset mix combination of flavors. My favorite combinations are Vanilla/orange and mint/chocolate. This place tends to always have lines and there is a reason for it. Custard is delicious, smooth, rich and creamy!

Huge old school cone. $5 Best $5 spent in my life. Oh the joy. Oh the consistency. Oh the flavor (vanilla)! Oh the presentation. Apparently all our childhood memories/realities about ice cream were stolen by these owners and they keep them here at Kohr Brothers only to be enjoyed by passers-by. Shame on you! And bring those prices down! I have 5 kids! So i'm supposed to really be expected to pay $35 for some ice cream cones!? Come on! Well, did u have a kids cone? i wasn't paying attention. And can we have one on the harbor in Baltimore??? I promise ill be a patron!!!

Was walking on the boardwalk looking for a chocolate dipped waffle cone, and I made my choice here out of all places just because of the flavors! Pumpkin and cinnamon were on their list. Pumpkin ice cream? I never had that Or cinnamon before! So I ended up with a pumpkin cinnamon swirl waffle cone. It was new (in a good way), and very tasty. Cost me about 7.50 with tax though but I guess that's ocean city for you. The girls there might act like they are rushing you or have an attitude. Don't let that get to you when choosing. I gave them 5 stars because it's hard to have something different on the boardwalk when everything's always the same!

Pretty good for custard. I had peanut butter chocolate and you could actually taste the peanut butter

Anytime I'm at the beach this a is a definite stop. This is the epitome of cheap thrill: jumbo cone, variety of flavors, $5, refreshing and dipped in sprinkles.

I grew up eating this stuff. My parents used to buy it for me all the time when I was a kid. Haven't had it in a long time though, and when I left for the beach that morning, I set out with the intention of getting some Kohr Brother's Custard before the sun went down! Sad to say, I was disappointed. I don't know if they too have fallen victim to the "no trans fat" thing or what, but something just wasn't right about it. It just tasted "off", and I can't really figure out why. There are several other ice cream shops nearby (one with like a zillion different flavors!) and I kinda wish I had stopped there instead. Nothing like having a craving and then being disappointed.

Peanut butter frozen custard. So smooth and creamy. I probably gained 10lbs this vacation by eating one nearly ever day! Prices are a little high, and depending on who makes your cone at which location the size varies wildly.

There we were.... checking out the town on our first night at Rehoboth Beach... Person after person we saw these huge cones with what seemed to be deliciously large scoops of ice cream.... people licking and cleaning their shirts... children refusing to walk - instead just devouring their cones.... And right before we reached the boardwalk we stumbled upon an epic line in front of this custard spot.... We tried the basics... You know Vanilla and Chocolate swirl with Rainbow sprinkles.... and we were in love. This custard is totally nostalgic ... took me back to the summers of my youth ... the perfect shore ice cream is... fantastic custard...... Now.... just to go back for me....

I stopped at Kohr Brothers last night while walking the boardwalk. I ordered the peanut butter chocolate cone. It was delicious! However, I ordered a chocolate peanut butter cone and was given a vanilla peanut butter cone. I know this was an honest mistake and it was very good anyway. The workers were also very nice.

The small cone is so big... Its very rich and sweet. The coffee icecream and the caramel & coffee mix was good! Perfect dessert for the beach

This is it - boardwalk/beach ice cream at it's best. No, it's not cheap. But yes, it does seal the deal on a trip to the beach. I always get their biggest cone (comes with a dipped waffle cone) plus all the toppings you want. I loved it dipped in chocolate with nuts or sprinkles. It's $7.50, but it's worth it - love the look in kids' eyes when they are holding their kiddie cones. The joys of adulthood and having control over your own money. One day kid, you too can buy the largest ice cream cone at the beach.

I am crazzzzzzy about this place! I usually am a fan of "real ice-cream"...but anyway forget it here in the U.S it's far too sweet especially if you are a sorbet lover like me! But this place! ....THIS place! I don't know what they put in their recipe but I am addicted. I tried Rita's custard and all, but no-one can compare with Kohr Brothers frozen custard hiring Russian girls serving you in summer! And they are right these girls are so sweet and friendly! Don't forget to tip you people! Anyway if you're going to the beach, don't miss on Kohr Bros even if there is a line and many kids around the place, just grab the ice-cream and go somewhere in the shade to eat it because it does melt fast, you'd better be ready! Also they have all sorts of flavors, I personally always get the same the chocolate vanilla swirl but their other flavors are great too! I think toward the end of the season they serve pumpkin custard, I tried it and it was pretty good!

4.5 stars... Best snack on the boardwalk. The frozen custard is served soft serve style. If you've never had it, frozen custard is just like ice cream made with the addition of eggs which gives it a much smoother and creamier consistency. At Kohr's they have a handful of flavors which are paired up where you can get swirls. They have chocolate/vanilla, peanut butter/chocolate, mint/chocolate, vanilla/orange sorbet, and berry. You can get it topped with jimmies (sprinkles) or dipped in chocolate. I tried the pb/chocolate and mint/chocolate. The pb really over powered the chocolate, that may have been better with a chocolate dip. The mint chocolate was awesome, the best soft serve ever. I'd go back daily if I could. Luckily it's a smallish chain so I don't have to go all the way down to Rehoboth for my next fix (the locations are mostly on the coastal beach towns of southern New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia but they also have a few random locations in Florida and Massachusetts).

Great custard ice cream! They don't offer a ton of favors but what they do have is always tasty.

I will gladly go back to Kohr for their chocolate/peanut butter twist soft serve ice cream in a waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles!!! There are many registers, so the line moves quickly. No receipt? Free food!

Love It! Custard style ice cream. My favorite treat at the shore!

Kinda the opposite of the Ice Cream Shop; Kohr's just sticks to traditional flavors with no whistles and bells. Frozen custard is quite yummy, offering vanilla, chocolate, swirl, orange and vanilla swirl, and chocolate and peanut butter swirl. Gosh I want some just yelping about it!

I had the chocolate peanut butter twist. It changed my life. Lots of location and they're all great. A little pricey but it is a resort town.

Their ice cream was good, nothing really spectacular. My major complaint was that my ice cream melted SO quickly! I had a mint chocolate chip cone on a peculiarly chilly evening this summer and the ice cream started to melt as soon as I got it. My husband had to save me a few times because I was not licking it fast enough. I didn't have this problem with any other ice cream cones from anywhere else. My father-in-law had the chocolate with sprinkles and 3 minutes after he got it, he was a mess....ice cream dripping down his cone everywhere. He had to arch his body away from his cone to eat it and then wash up afterward. Eating ice cream should not be that much trouble, especially when you are a grown adult and have experience. There was something obviously wrong with the ice cream. I'm not sure why their ice cream was melting so fast, but that was my first and last cone from there. I don't like to wear my ice cream.

I am SOOOO nostalgic about Kohr Brothers....having grown up in NJ and spent lots of time walking the boardwalk at Asbury Park in its glorious heyday. Once upon a time, it was a fantastic place for families - with rides for kids (a beautiful carousel and ferris wheel) pretty decent seafood- and lots of wonderful sweet treats like jelly apples, taffy and of course, Kohrs. It was a tradition to buy Fralinger's Salt Water Taffy (still the best) & to get some frozen custard at the boardwalk stand. I have missed it so much that when we went to Rehoboth Beach and I saw an open Kohrs I jumped up & down like an excited maniac - and galloped over and ordered a chocolate cone before lunch! A small cone now costs a hefty $3.75, and is less chocolaty than I remember - but it still has that irresistible smooth creamy texture. After lunch, we went to a different stand - just off the boardwalk, that had other flavors. I tried the coffee, while R. had peanutbutter/chocolate swirl I think that he really it. I thought the chocolate was a little better. It is sad to me that it is now so expensive, but what can we do? Certain things are special must-haves - when you are lucky enough to track down a beloved food memory.

You really shouldn't miss out on this classic if you're visiting any of the Delaware beaches or Ocean City, MD. Each location varies in the flavors offered, so be sure to hit them all while you're there!

Good frozen custard; they have the same chain in Sawgrass Mills Mall in Flahrida.

Kohr's is an institution. Part of the beach experience. Love the frozen custard. Smooth, great flavors, and priced fairly. They give you lots of sprinkles too. Eat it quickly because it melts so fast in the heat/sun!

No trip to the beach is complete without enjoying some frozen custard while watching the waves break on the shore.

My favorite frozen custard at the beach. They have a good variety of flavors beyond the typically chocolate and vanilla. My favorite is the chocolate and peanut butter swirl dipped in chocolate hard shell. Right next to the boardwalk, the service is quick and easy and the people watching is great!
